Bonnie" is first and formost a tired and true excellent hog hunting & cattle herding Catahoula.
Bonnie is registered with the NALC.
She is a proven producer of top of the breed Catahoula pups.
She also is very good on gathering cattle and works off of hand signals, whistling, and calling out to her. When we go into a pasture Bonnie is told "get behind" and she falls in line behind our mules until told to hunt. Bonnie is a full sister to "Zap" who is out of the same litter.
Momma "Bonnie" had to jump into the lake to evade the boar's charge
and two of her 10 month old puppies came in for the rescue ... it was a storm.
Bonnie has the grit to fight a boar hog and Bonnie pictured behind Emma loves to bay a hog.
Our gyps are medium ranging hunting style Catahoulas. They fall in behind our mules in single file and follow until told by name to get out front. This line of Catahoulas will trail a hog and they are excellent at winding hogs and going to the hogs.
This "Bonnie" gyp and her grown pups will trail hogs, bay hogs and have the grit to take hold of a hog and hold it until we get to them.
Below are some of the pups from Bonnie's last litter ... WOW.
