Jessie and Rosie

Meet one of our award-winning teams at Rancho Santiago - Jessie and Rosie - a team of identical red Belgium mule sisters we purchased from a Mennonite farmer in Kansas. Rosie and Jessie are shown pulling Rancho Santiago's 135 year old "Brewster" in town or farm to maket delivery wagon.

Dr. Jim and the Rancho Santiago team of Rosie and Jessie recently competed in the National Western Horse Show in Denver. Results: one first place and two thirds while competing against professional showmen with national sponsors.
We had a great time giving rides to folks from all over the world as they attended the 2003 National Cowboy Symposium.
The Rancho Santiago mule team #1 pulled our 100-year-old hackney wagon in the National Cowboy Symposium. This huge event was held September 6, 2003. We won 2nd in the "Best Authentic Wheeled Vehicle" category.

The Rancho Santiago exhibition mule team of "Rosie & Jessie", driven by Dr. Jim, pulled our 100 year old Hackney wagon to first place and a cash prize in the Waylon Jennings Parade held on July 5th in Littlefield, Texas. Out rider mules are Ada and Molly ridden by Jordan Hughes & David Murph.
Rancho Santiago's exhibition mule team perfectly pulled and performed with our 100-year-old Hackney wagon in the Muleshoe, Texas 4th of July parade celebration.

Pretty girls and at 1300 lbs. can out pull the 2000 lb. Percherons by 50%. It is amazing.

Sometimes a great drive with a team a person is blessed to just experience must be shared. Bringing Santa Claus into town was a blast.

Come ride with us.

The mule team I have hunted for all of my life now drive at Rancho Santiago.
