4 Hangin 4's Zap

This super Catahoula bitch  is named "Zap" on purpose. Zap & Bonnie are full litter mate sisters.

Zap is a working Catahoula registered with the NALC.  She is tough and unrelenting when  hunting and catching hogs or herding cattle.  When Zap is told to "get behind" she falls in line behind our mules until told to hunt. Zap is a full sister to "Bonnie" who is out of the same litter as sister Bonnie.

Zap bays a hog and she is full of grit and will catch and hold a hog.

She also catches wild cattle ... Zaps them.

Zap is named correctly because this one very courageous and skilled gyp will zap a hog.

She is friendly and loving with people and one tough no back down gal.

Hunting Style: Our gyps are medium ranging hunting style Catahoulas. They fall in behind our mules in single file and follow until told by name to get out front. This line of Catahoulas will trail a hog and they are excellent at winding hogs and going to the hogs.  This "Zap" gyp and her grown pups will trail hogs, bay hogs and have the grit to take hold of a hog and hold it until we get to them.

This superior Catahoula female has grown pups bred by that are now "zapping"
hogs and working wild cattle on command.

Zap is a great hog hunter as a rig dog, trailing, baying & catching.
Her name is Zap on purpose because this tough gal loves to attack a hog ... "zap um".

Zap & Bonnie have this distinctive hook in their tails.

We like Bonnie & Zap's "s' curve in the tail.
